Silly Goldfish

(Gold Fish Bowl by Matesse)
For as long as I can remember I have always enjoyed painting. As a child I fumbled my way through watercolors, grasping that cheap little yellow plastic brush and it’s stringy, to say the least, bristles. The first challenge that brush and I encountered was trying to recreate Matesse’s Gold Fish Bowl painting. I thought to myself the washes must blend perfectly, the colors must be exact, only I didn’t know they were called washes, and I would not say my grade school work was exact. However, I desired above all else for my class work to mimic Matisse’s work. I would not say at the end of this particular painting there were any grand praises or even a gold star. I would however say that during this time period in my life began what would come to be one of the most gratifying expressions of who I am, the addiction, painting.

It's Me!

(picture of me)
This space is my elegant yet unrefined attempt at sharing my artwork with whom ever chooses to take part. Please feel free to express your emotions or opinions, good or bad, as much or as little as you see fit. I enjoy life’s interaction with people and I believe the best way to do this is through a transactional channel of honest communication. My artwork is a small yet passionate area of how I enjoy expressing myself in this world. It has, at times, captivated my heart to the point that I never thought possible, creating emotional outlets only best expressed on wood. Other times my work has simply been a visual stimulation, something that has brought me warmth and happiness as I walk past. As I endeavor to script this journey of my artwork I hope that it is as revealing to you as I desire it to be and perhaps more.
